About
our Class
From 1983 through 1987, we attended Von Steuben Metropolitan Science Center in
Chicago.
Our graduating class consisted of over 300 students, from all over the city, from
dozens of backgrounds. We went on to countless futures, careers, and walks of
life.
We made our mark at our school in many ways. These include:
- Our class gift was the Popcorn Machine, which is still in use popping
corn for current students.
- During our senior year, our class helped revive the Theater/Drama
department.
We staged the first school play in several decades,
The
Doctor In Spite of Himself, by
Moilere.
We offer gratitude for this to
the Von debut of our Drama teacher, Mrs. O'Keefe.
- Can you think of other ways we made our mark? Please let us know below!
About this Website
The thought of a 20-year high school reunion occurred to Denise Plancon in the
fall of 2006. After discussing it with some former classmates with whom she
keeps in touch, she decided to organize one.
Our reunion happened on June 9th, 2007. Approximately 45 people attended, 35
of which were members of the Class.
Naturally, dozens of photos were taken.
David Flapan, a teacher and free-lance web designer, figured that the best way
to share photos, info, and to communicate would be to have an actual website.
He is happy to have created and maintain this website.
